The Conservatoire is the representative for the ABRSM examinations in Kenya. The Director of The Conservatoire oversees the administration of all practical examinations. Over 1500 candidates enroll for these international examinations in various instruments each year.
The Conservatoire does not offer its own assessment and accreditation. Assessment is quite individual because different students progress at different rates. The ABRSM examinations however provide an internationally recognized certificate for successful candidates. Before enrolling for any examination the student must be given the go – ahead by his teacher.
There are 8 Grade levels for each instrument after which one can sit the ABRSM Diploma. Each grade takes about a year to prepare for the average student.
For more information on ABRSM please visit their website www.abrsm.org. |
